13 Random Things I Learned in 2013

1. Sometimes you are going to be the friend that everyone else talks shit about behind your back, because sometimes you are capable of being really annoying and shitty without even realizing it, and your friends want to vent about it. 
2. The cheapest and most expensive dress are usually both bad deals. 
3. Some of the “ugly” photos of yourself that you insist get untagged or hide on Facebook are actually a more accurate representation of what you really look like. 
4. Whoever you are, whoever reading this, you will die. To know and understand that means you are alive. 
5. A lot of times, when someone starts giving you more attention or respect in life when they used to treat you like shit, it’s not because they’ve evolved as a person. It’s because you’ve gotten useful to them or they need you to do them a favour. 
6. Most politicians, even the “progressive” ones, give a shit about literally no one and nothing but themselves. 
7. A huge amount of the really shitty things that people do and say to each other is motivated by little more than jealousy, because cutting someone down is the easiest way to feel just a little bit better about yourself. 
8. You might just not be good enough for something you are positive that you really deserve. 
9. There are many people that have created leagues in their mind, and have judged you as completely below theirs. That won’t change; you can’t fix them. They will give you many signs that they consider themselves above you, and that you should run away from them as quickly as possible before you think that they're right. 
10. By the way, you can’t change other people, and it’s rude to try. 
11. There is nothing worse than having no friends. 
12. Have you ever made a mistake so monumental that you wish you could go back in time and do it all over again? Join the club. Everyone did that. It’s called being human. Leave the past behind, leave the mistake there too. 
13. People will leave. You believe that they will stay but they eventually fade away and you will be alone. Someday you’re gonna be the only one you've got. Be prepared.
